From the beginning, there was always a special warmth and charm about her that defied the conventional notion of being "on the spectrum." In 2023, a breakthrough occurred when doctors identified a rare genetic disorder, Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, describing it as finding a "needle in a haystack" through genetic testing. There are roughly 3500 cases globally. Aanika's journey is one of resilience and expression, with art, love, and hugs serving as her unique language. In the midst of her challenges, she emanates a positive healing energy that touches everyone she encounters. AniVani, our cherished space, is dedicated to sharing Aanika's creations, along with her mom's, and fostering greater awareness about disabilities.
