Our Story

AniVani was born from a shared love of creativity between a mother and daughter in Southern California.

Long before AniVani existed, Vani was an artist, designer, and lifelong creative. When her daughter Aanika began expressing herself through colorful paintings, playful patterns, and joyful artwork, Vani immediately recognized something familiar—a creative spirit that reflected her own.

What started as art projects around the kitchen table became something much bigger: a way to celebrate creativity, individuality, and the beauty found in every person.

Today, AniVani is our family's way of sharing that message with the world.

MEET AANIKA

The Heart Behind AniVani
Aanika has always seen the world a little differently—and that is exactly what makes her extraordinary.

At age three, Aanika was diagnosed with Autism and later ADHD. In 2023, genetic testing revealed that she also has a rare condition called Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, a diagnosis that provided clarity after years of searching.

While her journey has included challenges, it has also revealed incredible resilience, creativity, kindness, and joy.

Aanika communicates through many forms of expression, but art has always been one of her favorite languages. Her colorful creations, warm hugs, infectious smile, and pure heart inspire everything we do. She reminds us daily that every person has something beautiful to contribute to the world.

HOW ANIVANI WAS CREATED

When Creativity Became a Mission

As Aanika's artwork continued to grow, so did our vision.

Vani began incorporating elements of Aanika's original paintings and patterns into products, apparel, and designs that could be shared with others. Together, we transformed creativity into a platform for connection, awareness, and celebration.

AniVani became more than a brand—it became a movement rooted in a simple belief: Every individual deserves to be seen, valued, loved, and celebrated exactly as they are. Our differences are not flaws to overcome. They are part of what makes each of us remarkable.

Art With a Story

Every design begins with creativity, imagination, and love. Many of our patterns, colors, and artistic inspirations come directly from Aanika's artwork and the joyful way she experiences the world. Vani then blends those ideas with her own artistic background and professional design expertise to create pieces that are colorful, uplifting, and meaningful. Each product tells a story—one of creativity, family, resilience, and self-expression.

As a family raising a child with Autism, ADHD, and Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, we have witnessed both the challenges and the incredible gifts that exist within the special needs community.

Our hope is to help create a world where differences are met with compassion instead of judgment, understanding instead of assumptions, and inclusion instead of exclusion.

People with disabilities are not defined by a diagnosis.

They are sons, daughters, artists, dreamers, creators, friends, and individuals with unique gifts to share.

Some of the purest hearts, brightest smiles, and greatest lessons in love come from this community.
